Ayurvedic Spring Rejuvenation Workshop
Prepare your mind and body for the seasonal change of winter to spring with Ayurvedic dietary and lifestyle tips and an energizing and refreshing vinyasa flow yoga practice.
Gena Rockwell, certified hatha yoga and ayurvedic-yoga teacher and massage therapist, will offer an “Ayurvedic Spring Rejuvenation Workshop” on April 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Harmony Healing Arts Center, located at 211 East New Street, Shepherdstown.
Spring is the season where Kapha Dosha (the earth and water elements present in nature as well as ourselves) is most prominent. “In order to stay balanced during this seasonal change we must clear away excess Kapha that we accumulate over the winter by clearing away excess mucus, stimulating our digestive fire and re-energizing the mind and body,” Ms. Rockwell explains.
Since vinyasa flow yoga is a more physically challenging form of yoga, participants should be free of injuries. Some prior yoga experience is recommended.
The cost is $25. The class is limited to 15 participants, so prior registration is recommended. To register, or for more information, contact Gena at 304-582-4830, or e-mail (wvmarigold@aol.com).
