Juvenile Drug Court receives donation

By Staff | Apr 11, 2014

Jefferson County’s Juvenile Drug Court program received a donation this week from City National Bank. Melissa Knott, assistant vice president for the bank, received the City Cares Award, allotting her $1,500 to donate to charities of her choice. In addition, funds came from the Eastern W. Va. Community Foundation, Knott said. One of her choices to receive funding was the Drug Court program where she also serves as a mentor.

Judge David Greenberg, who helps lead the program along with Drug Court Coordinator and probation officer Shannon Travis, explained that the funds will help provide incentive trips this summer for current youth enrolled in the program.
