The Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital is now accepting nominations from individuals, community leaders, business owners and the government sector for the 2014 Women of Distinction.

This honor recognizes women from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia (Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties) whose outstanding work distinguishes them as excellent leaders and role models for girls. The honorees will be recognized at a special luncheon to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at the Holiday Inn in Martinsburg.
