O’Brien offers classes

“Earthen Vessels: Introduction to Shamanic Practice for Adults” will be offered in three identical sections: Mondays, April 28-May 19, 7:00-8:30 PM; Thursdays, May 1-22, 5:30-7:00 PM; and, Saturdays, April 26-May 17, 11:00 A.M.-12:30 PM. Each section will meet four times. Locations of meetings will all be in Shepherdstown and will be announced closer to the start of classes. Shamanism is a spiritual practice pre-dating all religions by millennia. It restores a sense of connection with the world of nature. The presenter will be Bill O’Brien, M.A., M.Div., a spiritual development practitioner, trained shamanic practitioner, and former Jesuit priest. Adults, $80; Seniors, $75; Students, $45. “The Nathaniel Program: Eight Weeks of Meditation & Spiritual Awareness Training”, a non-denominational program, will be offered on Tuesday evenings, April 29-June 17, 7:30-9:00 PM. Participants will gradually build to a daily practice of 20 minutes of breathing meditation. The course also gathers spiritual wisdom from across the spectrum and provides exercises for integration. Location of class meeting will be announced closer to the start of classes. The course broadens awareness, reduces stress, helps towards normal blood pressure, and, in general, contributes to happiness. The presenter is Bill O’Brien, M.A., M.Div., a spiritual development practitioner with long experience including, but not limited to, twenty years as a Jesuit.
