John Brown Walking Tour comes to Charles Town

The City of Charles Town, the National Park Service, the Jefferson County CVB, the Harpers Ferry Historical Association and American Public University, supported by the Jefferson County Museum, the Jefferson County Commissioner and the Sheriff’s Department have all teamed up to present a John Brown historical walking tour in Charles Town. These tours will be on-going.

Th tour begins at the Jefferson County CVB located at 108 N. George Street in Charles Town. For convenience, informational rack cards are available at either one of the Jefferson County CVBs, Town Hall or the Chamber of Commerce and are to be used as a free parking pass. Just set the rack card on the dashboard where it can be easily seen. Parking is available at the parking lot on Liberty Street next to the Police Department.

The tour is a free park-ranger-guided tour beginning on Memorial Day weekend. Daily tours will run at 11 a.m and 1 p.m. June 1-Aug. 15. From Aug. 23-Nov. 2, the tours will take place on weekends only.
