Ms. Charlotte Porter, Potomac-Mecklenburg Garden Club Scholarship Committee liaison to Jefferson County Schools presents the Club’s annual Scholarship to Ms. India Titus, this year’s recipient. The annual award is given to a graduating senior who plans to attend college in order to pursue a career dealing with virtually any profession that beneficially deals with our environment. The awards are based on submission of an essay about their career objectives and academic record. This year’s award is in the amount of $750.00. The club raises funds for this program and for annual contributions of children’s books to local libraries through its annual plant sale.
