Kid’s Program is feature of First Friday Coffeehouse
Two area artists will celebrate the young and young at heart on June 6. Tony Martriano and Rick Hill will be the featured performers at First Friday Coffeehouse at Trinity Orchard House, 4599 Shepherdstown Road. Doors open at 7 p.m. for a two-hour show that will include sing-alongs, stories and even an open mic by and for kids of all ages. So bring the children, grandchildren or a song to sing for kids.
Martriano, from Martinsburg, is an 11-year teacher at the elementary school level. He is currently working as a behavioral specialist and academic interventionist. Tony uses music to promote goodness in the world! His passion for teaching and music comes through in his performances which are fun, interactive, memorable and teach a lesson. He is an accomplished guitarist and singer with an engaging style. He is currently working on his third studio album, Love, Peace, and Harmony,which is due out this summer. www.tonymmusic.com
Hill’s primary goals in his performance are to leave the audience feeling better about themselves and feeling like they can take on whatever life might hand them. In that process he builds a stronger sense of community and greater appreciation of the community in which they live. The Thurmont, Md., resident is a songwriter and multi-instrument musician (guitar, banjo, autoharp, etc). He performs in a variety of venues and to diverse audiences, including schools and youth groups. He has recorded several CDs. www.ricksfolk.com.
