Yard sale to benefit Caring Cupboard
Caring Cupboard needs your support on Saturday, June 14, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will benefit the weekend food for students program. The sale will be held at the back of the Lutheran Parish House and along Old Queen Ally. Treasures of every kind along with numerous baby items and clothes will be on sale. Come grab a bargain and help the local children stay fed on weekends. Donations of quality items for the sale are needed. Bring donations to the Lutheran Parish House beginning June 9 (mornings only).
Caring Cupboard provides weekend food bags for Shepherdstown school children. Many children who qualify for free or reduced price breakfast and lunch through federal programs do not have enough food to eat on weekends. Caring Cupboard fills that weekend void by providing nutritious, kid friendly, non-perishable food supplies to these students. The group currently gives 78 bags a week to students at Shepherdstown Elementary and Middle schools.
Monetary donations can be sent directly to Caring Cupboard at P.O. Box 2008, Shepherdstown, WV or stop by and see us at 110 N. King Street. For more information about Caring Cupboard or the Yard Sale, contact Jennifer Perrotte or Annie Thompson at 304-876-6771.
