Artisan bread at Burr Farm
Volunteers will be baking at the Peter Burr Farm on Saturday, July 12. Proceeds go to fund improvements to the facility to enhance public use.
Due to limitations of volunteer time and resources, baking will be very limited. With the exception of a few events this year, bread will only be available to returning customers by reservation. Reservations will be accepted on a first come-first served basis until all anticipated bread is reserved. Reservations will be confirmed via reply email.
As an added treat, the Reliving History group will be doing interpretive discussions of “Men of the 18th Century-Trades and Interests” beginning at noon.
Sale of the bread will benefit the Peter Burr Living History Farm. The bread will be baked in a brick oven typical of the period. Bread types and costs include rustic sourdough white, two pound loaves, $5 each; cranberry orange two pound loaves at $6 each and kalamata olive two pound loaves at $7 each. To place an order, reply email to Wayne Braunstein at wbraun@frontiernet.net.
