Register for Dogfest show
The Shepherdstown “Dog Fest” being planned for the Aug. 9-10 weekend will include a dog show for local and visiting dogs on Saturday.
This show will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on King Street in front of the Town Hall.
Trophies will be given for the Best Dog in Show Dog, Cutest Dog and Most Talented Dog.
Everyone is invited to enroll their dog and there will be no fees. But there will be a limit on the number of dogs that can enter so pre-registration is advised. Prior to the event registration forms can be picked up at the Shepherdstown Visitors Center on German Street or downloaded from the Center’s website at www.shepherdstown.info.
Completed forms can be returned to the Visitors Center, emailed to dogfestdogshow@gmail.com, or brought to the King Street dog show site before 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
If space is still available by Saturday people may also register their dogs on site on King Street between 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
All participating dogs must wear a current rabies vaccination tag and all owners must sign a liability waiver.
The show will be judged by a panel of dog-loving local residents. The Master of Ceremonies will be Roman Holton, president and CEO of Ascension Media Group, a Silver Spring, Maryland, film and broadcast production company.
