A unique event is being held at the War Memorial Building on German Street in Shepherdstown, on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This is a gallery of photos representing dogs from Berkeley and Jefferson counties, as well as Loudoun County, Virginia. These photos are the work of Keech Photography and will be the culminating activity for the Animal Welfare Society Canine Calendar fundraiser.

Keech Photography has taken photos of 153 dogs and visitors will be asked to vote for their 12 favorite dogs. The top 12 dogs chosen will represent a month in the upcoming 2015 Canine Calendar.

This is a friendly community competition that allows the proud dog owners to show off their best canine friends and to meet like minded individuals.

Bring family and friends to view, vote and to meet the photographer, AWS Board members, as well as the many businesses who have advertised in the calendar.
