Bowls roll In Shepherdstown

By Staff | Aug 29, 2014

Polish up those little iron and steel cannon balls, better known in local circles as the Irish Road Bowl, and head for Shepherdstown on Sunday Sept. 7 by 1 p.m. to register for the last event in the Eastern Panhandle this year.

Get a team together to bowl the Trough Road. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. Gather friends, neighbors and families for a fun day playing in the road. For those who have never played, come out and have a try. It’s a competitive sport, it’s a family sport, it’s just a good gathering of friendly people having a good time and just may be lucky enough to go home with a trophy or a medal. First and second place prizes for the winning four-person teams. Come and join the fun, the game is free.
