Rotary Club of Shepherdstown inducts two new members
The Rotary Club of Shepherdstown has inducted Cheryl Keyrouze and Sandy Sponaugle as new members at the Clubs regular breakfast meeting at the Bavarian Inn on September 9.
Sponaugle is the President of Platinum PR, a marketing and public relations firm in Shepherdstown. Sandy received a Bachelor of Science in economic and business administration from Shepherd University. She is involved in the local community as a member of both the Berkeley County and Jefferson County Chambers of Commerce and serves as volunteer with the United Way of the Eastern Panhandle. She also serves on the board of directors for the Scarborough Society of Shepherd University and the Shepherd University Alumni Association. Recently she was recognized as a Young Gun by West Virginia Executive Magazine for her entrepreneurial successes and community service activities and was named PR Professional of the Year by the American Advertising Federation – Greater Frederick.
Keyrouze is the Executive Director of the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority where she is responsible for the day-to-day operations and is the Authoritys representative with federal, state and local governments. She was the founder of Communication Outreach of Jefferson County, WV, Inc. and was the Executive Director of the Shepherdstown Visitors Center from 2008 through 2012. Cheryl is a graduate of Leadership Jefferson and Leadership Saratoga. She is an active member of the Shepherdstown community and is involved with Freedom’s Run Race and Friends in Action of the Eastern Panhandle among others.
The Shepherdstown Rotary Club’s membership now totals 62.
