Two books, two authors; one reception

By Staff | Oct 3, 2014

Shepherdstowns Ed Zahniser and Patricia Donohoe will be present to sign their respective books, 3 Poems and The Printer’s Kiss, The Life and Letters of a Civil War Newspaperman and His Family, Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the Shepherdstown Presbyterian Fellowship Hall, 300 S. King St. Shepherdstown, West Virginia. They will speak briefly about their books at 10:30 a.m.

In The Printers Kiss, love, honor, and survival are all at stake for Will and Eliza Wylie Tomlinson, a passionate couple fighting their own personal battles as well as Confederates in West Virginia and Ohio. Told through letters discovered in a cracker tin and for sale on Ebay, their story shows how an ordinary couple refused to let extraordinary times rob them of life’s most precious gifts.

3 Poems combines: At Betty’s Restaurant, Thomas Shepherd Loves Danske Dandridge and The Shepherdstown Sonnet, written to commemorate Shepherdstowns 250th anniversary.
