Bras for a Cause
Fargo Insurance Group, Inc. is proud to host its 5th annual Bras for a Cause for the entire month of October. In 2010, Fargo Insurance Group (FIG) recognized an opportunity to have a creative impact on funding the fight against cancer on a local level. Since the inception of Bras for a Cause, FIG has donated more than $10,000 to cancer research. It is their hope that this yera’s event will be the largest success yet.
The program works like this. Drop any bras at any of Fargo’s insurance branches. Bras are accepted at all local branches in Martinsburg, Ranson and Annendale, Virginia. When dropping bras off, register to win an iPad! For each bra donated to the cause, FIG will donate $1 to the local Relay for Life events of Jefferson County, Berkeley County and Shepherd University in an effort to support the research on finding a cure for this disease. In previous years, the money was donated to Susan G. Komen and most recently, to Jefferson, Berkeley and Shepherd University Relay for Life events.
The bras donated can be in any condition. The bras in moderate to excellent condition will be donated to a local women’s shelter. The bras in poor condition will be disposed of appropriately.
Fargo Insurance has set a goal of 1,000 bras for this year. Success can be followed on facebook.com/fargoinsurance. For more information, visit the Facebook site or call Marshall DeMeritt at 304-267-4915
