Family Fun ExFEARience comes to Jefferson County

SUMMIT POINT:: Celebrate the Halloween weekend at Summit Point Raceway at the first Summit Point Family Fun ExFEARience on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This day-long event offers an open track time to walk, run or ride a bike on the real motorsports park track at Summit Point Raceway. Bring bicycles and tennis shoes to participate not only in an open track time but a Funny Bone Walk/Run at 1:30 p.m. and a Wobblin’ Goblin 5K at 2 p.m

In addition to riding and walking, attendees can enjoy beautiful classic and interesting cars as the Country Roads Car Club sponsors a Cruise In in conjunction with the day’s activities. Special dash plaques denoting this first Cruise In at ExFEARience will be provided.

Crafts around the track and in the paddock area will be a highlight for kids of all ages. Come with a Halloween costume to participate in the Spooky Ghouls and Boils contest that takes place at 3:30 p.m.

Gates open for this family event at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26. Admission is just $8 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12; 4 and under are free.

Entrance into the Funny Bone 1 mile walk and run is an additional $10 by Oct. 17 and $15 after that date. The Wobblin’ Goblin 5K entry fee is $15 until Oct. 17 or $20 after that date. T-shirts are guaranteed to 5K entrants before Oct. 17. Awards will be given in each race. Race registration fees are in addition to gate entrance costs.

Enjoy a beautiful fall day at Summit Point Raceway and support the Charles Town Cannons baseball team. Music by a live DJ will keep all entertained as will demonstrations by local fire and police units. Food vendors will be on site.
