Jefferson County residents receive Shepherd Foundation Scholarships
Sixty-seven Jefferson County residents have been awarded scholarships from the Shepherd University Foundation.
Shepherdstown residents include Priya Arumuganathan, who received the Shepherd Fund Scholarship, Burkhart General Scholarship, and BB&T Lacey Rice Scholarship; Lindsey Leigh Bent, who received the Dr. Carl Bell Scholarship; Cynthia Jane Brockman, who received the Vince Gonino Memorial Scholarship; David William Donohue, who received the United National Bank Scholarship and Burkhart General Scholarship; Blake Mackenzie Johnson, who received the Shenandoah Bank Scholarship; Christine Anne Lepine, who received the Berkeley Community Pride Scholarship and Henry W. Miller Scholarship; Michael Raymond Maranda, who received the Andrew D. Michael Scholarship; Hector Dionicio Navarro-Guitz, who received the Henry W. Shenandoah Junction residents include Stephanie Ann Deal, who received the Burkhart Legacy Scholarship and Shaw Leadership Scholarship; Hannah Nicole French, who received the Rauch Education Scholarship and Mark and Barbar Stern Scholarship; Tara Kisner Hopfer, who received the Eta Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship and Dr. William Speg Scholarship; Tara Randi Mallow, who received the Accounting Scholarship; Avery Joseph Mendzela, who received the Rural Financial Planning Project Scholarship.
Summit Point residents include Andrea Renee Compton, who received the Rauch Science Scholarship; Colin L. Gustines, who received the James and Katherine Moler Scholarship; Tess Noelle Hyre, who received the Miss West Virginia Pageant Scholarship; Kendell M. Smith, who received the James and Katherine Moler Scholarship; and Michael Cameron Viands, who received the United National Bank Scholarship.
The Shepherd University Foundation provided more than $1 million in student and program support in 2013-14. These funds support approximately 400 scholarships that are awarded to deserving Shepherd students each academic year.
