Look what’s happening at EPTA

By Staff | Oct 10, 2014

Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority participated in the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce’s 39th Annual Mountain Heritage Arts & Crafts Festival held at Sam Michael Park on Sept. 27. EPTA partnered with the Chamber and Emily Vaughn to create the artwork for the third “Art on the Bus” project for EPTA.

The new mural on the bus depicts local artisans from around the Eastern Panhandle. Attendees of the arts and crafts festival took up a paint brush to bring the artwork to life. Painters of all ages contributed to the mural. This project is located on the MARC Train commuter bus that travels through Jefferson and Berkeley counties.

October represents Berkeley County Transit Month. EPTA will be offering complimentary rides for all EPTA lines on Wednesday Oct. 15, 2014. Current riders will be able to enjoy a complimentary day of transportation. Anyone who has not experienced public transportation is encouraged to take this opportunity to “Hop on the Bus.” Current published routes can be found at www.eptawv.com. Any questions can be directed to 304-263-0876.
