By Staff | Oct 17, 2014

Own a house or commercial property listed on the National Register of Historic Places or in a registered Historic District? Then join us to learn about residential and commercial rehabilitation tax credits available to qualifying owners.

Workshops will be held Oct. 27, 2014 from 7- 9 p.m. at the Byrd Center for Legislative Studies Auditorium, Shepherd University and again on Oct. 28, 7 9 p.m. at the Charles Town City Hall, at the corner of Washington and George streets. The workshops are intended to help property owners learn how to utilize the historic preservation tax credit program to help with building repairs.

Ms. Anne Gryczon, Tax Credit Coordinator, of the WV State Historic Preservation Office will explain who is eligible to apply, how to properly finish the three-part application, how to get a project approved, and claiming the 20% residential WV State or 20 percent Federal and 10 percent West Virginia State commercial rehabilitation tax credits.
