By Staff | Dec 5, 2014

It’s going to be another busy celebration weekend in downtown Shepherdstown. The Shepherdstown Community Club’s Ho Ho Ho-liday Handmade Market continues with a variety of local handmade items.

The Handmade Market will be open this Saturday, Dec. 6 from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is located on the lower level of the War Memorial Bldg., 102 E. German Street.

The Handmade Market is thrilled to showcase the following local artists, crafters and designers: Studio Three 17 (fiber art, hand-dyed journal covers, tablet covers, accessories and home dcor), Center Ring Design (brilliant functional pottery, fine art), Anna Howard (functional whimsical and artistic clocks made from unconventional everyday items), SLY Designs and Zippy Lu Design Studio (unique photo pendants, necklaces), Meadowsweet Botanicals (herbal teas and remedies, vinegars, cocoa), d’Pholk Designs Fused Glass (beautiful ornaments, fused glass servers, bowls, spoon rests, melted wine bottle cheese trays), Kelli Cremins (handpainted cards, paintings), Nature’s Inspirations (gemstone and beaded jewelry with a fair trade focus), Susan Carney Art (unique fine art, monotype prints, art cards), Peace of Cake (homemade cookies, cakes, seasoned nuts, hummus), Happy Kat (brilliant stained glass panels and art), Creative Art and Soul (sandcarved and pewter pendants, dog leash holders, necklace and key holders), Toni Kay Dye (wildlife art, handpainted feathers), Michael Dye (handcarved wizard wands and figurines), and Creations by Tigerlily (afghans, car seat blankets, hats and snuggle-bunnies).

The Ho Ho Ho-liday Handmade Market will also be open the following two weekends, Dec. 13-14 and Dec. 20-21. The hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Stop by each weekend as the market will showcase several different local artists, so there is always something new to see.

The Ho Ho Ho-liday Handmade Market is sponsored by the Shepherdstown Community Club. Monies collected from sellers’ space fees go towards the maintenance and operation of the historic War Memorial Building and Morgan’s Grove Park. This year, the Handmade Market event series has raised over $10,000 for the Shepherdstown Community Club.
