Tycoon: The Story of Carlos at Opera House

By Staff | Dec 5, 2014

Tycoon: The Story of Carlos, a film by Keper Connell and Joe Carter, will be shown at the Shepherdstown Opera House on Thursday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. Admission to the film is $10.

The film tells the story of Carlos Niederhauser, a man in love with solving puzzles and finding the rightful place in the universe for all things. He has amassed over 100 properties in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. In his own manner, Niederhauser is fixing the housing crisis one home at a time, by providing micro-financing to marginalized families. Niederhauser’s eccentric and entrepreneurial spirit fuels this short film.

Don’t miss this day-in-the-life of one of Shepherdstown’s own.

Keper Connell was born in Charlestown, West Virginia. His father, Kevin Connell, owned the Yellow Brick Bank restaurant in Shepherdstown for 30 years. Keper lives in Rye, New Hampshire and is a fisherman and filmmaker.
