Visitors Center raising funds
Many are unaware that the Shepherdstown Visitors Center is a non-profit.
Please consider giving to this tiny powerhouse in Shepherdstown that is open everyday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., plans celebrations throughout the year, collaborates with Shepherd University, works with small businesses, responds to emails and phone calls from all over the United States and always welcomes everyone to Shepherdstown.
This is the last week of the annual raffle fundraiser with the drawing of three lucky winners to take place right after Saturday’s Christmas parade. One does not need not be present to win.
There are three baskets of gift certificates and items donated by generous shops and restaurants totaling more than $1,600. Tickets are for purchase in the Visitors Center, The Sweet Shop, Domestic, The Now and Then Shop, Dickinson & Wait, Four Season’s Books, D’Accord, Pedal and Paddle, Grapes & Grains Gourmet and the Local Source. One can also purchase tickets on the street before the parade begins at 11 a.m. Tickets are $5 dollars for one, $10 dollars for three or $20 dollars for six.
