On Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, members of the United States Marshal Fugitive Task Force arrested Scott Robert Ducharme, 32 years of age, on the grounds of the VA Hospital in Martinsburg on charges from the Shepherdstown Police Department stemming from an investigation involving the sexual assault of a minor female.

The charges include four (4) counts of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree and four (4) counts of Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, the victim’s family reported to Shepherdstown Police Sgt. Mike King that their thirteen (13) year old daughter had been sexually assaulted by Ducharme while she and her mother stayed a night in Shepherdstown in October 2014. The family’s name will not be disclosed to protect the juvenile victim. Ducharme was transported to the Eastern Regional Jail pending arraignment.
