Local students earn recognition
Several Saint James School students received academic honors during the first fall trimester of the year. Saint James School is a private co-educational institution located in Hagerstown, Maryland. Nine High Honors and Honors students from Shepherdstown were recognized.
High Honors: High Honors, awarded each trimester, are the highest academic honors conferred to students and require an average of A- (3.67) or better, with no grade lower than a B. The following students received High Honors:
Lillian Noel (8th grade), the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Noel of Shepherdstown, received High Honors.
Nicholas Singletary (8th grade), the son of Mr. Andrew W. Singletary and Dr. Pia Peltola of Shepherdstown, received High Honors.
Elsa Jenkins (8th grade), the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marten R. Jenkins, Jr. of Shepherdstown, received High Honors.
Roula (8th grade) and Evanthea “Evie” (12th grade) Hammer, the daughters of Mr. David Hammer and Mrs. Euphemia Kallas of Shepherdstown, received High Honors.
Chandler (10th grade) and Drake (11th grade) Marshall the daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Donn E. Marshall of Shepherdstown, received High Honors.
