Basic Literacy training planned

By Staff | Jan 2, 2015

Literacy Volunteers of The Eastern Panhandle (LVEP), will be conducting Basic Literacy Tutor Training on Jan. 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. and January 10th from 8:30 to 4 p.m at James Rumsey Adult Learning Center in Martinsburg. You must attend both days to complete the course. This is an opportunity to learn to teach other adults to read and write more proficiently. Training includes Reading Process, Sensitivity, and Syllable Types. LVEP serves Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties.

It is a wonderful feeling to help someone get a job or a promotion or their high school diploma equivalency by helping improve their grammar, writing or math skills. You will be matched with a student or students in your area.
