“Valentine’s Day Purrfect Buffet” Feb. 14 to Benefit AWS
Wet noses are better than roses. Come support the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County by enjoying a delicious buffet, silent and live auctions and raffles to benefit the Society’s renovations of the existing cat rooms. The new isolation rooms are completed for both dogs and cats and now it is time to renovate the 1985 cat facility for adoptable cats and kittens. The Sixth Annual Purrfect Valentine Buffet is being held at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 5:30-10 p.m. in the Skyline Ballroom.
Tickets are $50 per person and are available by calling Anne-Marie at 304-725-2198 or Dottie at 703-509-0986. Reserve tickets today! Enjoy a purrfect evening and help the plight of homeless pets in the county at the AWS no-kill shelter. The Animal Welfare Society began helping homeless animals in 1952 and has operated a shelter on Old Leetown Pike since 1985.
