The Apollo Civic Theatre, 128 E. Martin St., Martinsburg, presents the area premiere of the thriller “The Abduction” by Billy St. John Jan. 23 through Feb. 1.

What begins as a pleasant anniversary celebration for novelist Allen Grant, his wife Sheila, and their daughter Cindy, ends in terror when Cindy is abducted and held for ransom. Tension mounts as Allen, Sheila, Cindy’s boyfriend and Allen’s accountant search for clues to her whereabouts while trying to raise the kidnapper’s ransom money. The play features local actors Brian Terrell, Sandra DeRocha, Henry Becker, Megan West, Rennes Carbaugh and J.D. Wine and is directed by J.D. Wine. Assistant Director is Kenny Lee. Stage Manager is Anna Coffinbarger. Producer is Kim Herman.
