Beyond Comics announces the Grand Opening of their third location in historic Shepherdstown, on Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Special appearances include Eduardo Sanchez (Director/Creator “The Blair Witch Project”), Rafer Roberts (Valiant Comics, “Thanos & Darkside, Carpool Buddies of Doom” and “Plastic Farm”), Mike Imboden (Writer, “Fist of Justice”) and Rian Miller (Writer & Artist, “Man Gull”).

With two well-established Maryland locations, Beyond Comics is excited to branch out to West Virginia. Beyond Comics carries a large range of current comic books from major publishers such as DC and Marvel, as well as other companies such as Image, Dark Horse, IDW, Boom and more. Beyond Comics also carries toys, t-shirts, statues and action figures, and much more. Our new Shepherdstown location will feature a huge selection of board, card and role-playing games and a large gaming area, open for play as well as hosting gaming events, demos and tournaments. The creator of the card game “Bad*** Zombie Killers” will be on hand to demo his game as well. Some other available games include Magic the Gathering, Heroclix, Settlers of Catan, Dungeons & Dragons, and Pathfinder.

The Grand Opening event will also feature game demos,giveaways, a huge sale on many Graphic Novels from 10 to 75 percent off, and $1 comics all weekend. Beyond Comics is located at 207 South Princess St. in Shepherdstown. Hours are Tuesday 12 to 6 p.m, Wednesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 12 to 6 p.m. Hours will be expanded once gaming sessions begin in late January.
