Amazon Smile to benefit Animal Welfare Society

By Staff | Apr 20, 2015

Amazon has recently introduced a program to raise funds for 501(c)(3) public charitable organizations. Known as AmazonSmile, it is being offered by Amazon as a simple and automatic way for its customers to support their favorite charitable organization every time they shop, at no cost to the customer. When you shop at “http://www.smile.amazon.com”>www.smile.amazon.com, Amazon will donate 0.5 percent of the purchase price from eligible AmazonSmile purchases to favorite charitable organization if they are registered with AmazonSmile.

Animal Welfare Society is a registered organization. Just go to www.smile.amazon.com and locate Animal Welfare Society on the drop down menu and Amazon will remember your selection for future purchases. It is that simple. Use an existing Amazon.com account for AmazonSmile as the shopping cart, wish list, and other account settings are all the same. There are tens of millions of products on AmazonSmile that are eligible for donations. You will see eligible products marked “Eligible for AmazonSmile donation” on their product detail pages. Enjoy shopping and help the homeless pets in Jefferson County residing at the Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County. AWS has been helping homeless pets since 1952 and maintains a shelter located on Leetown Pike, just past the Jefferson County fairgrounds. For more information or to view pets available for adoption, visit www.awsjc.org or go to AWS Facebook.
