Each session will operate daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., per week and the cost is $165. Please see Camp Registration Form for details about sibling discounts and after care.

All camps will have an art and physical education component and many hours will be spent outside.

Twisted Tales: June 8-15 – Campers will learn about popular fairy tales from the viewpoint of the Brothers Grimm. Activities and lessons will be age appropriate for each group. Campers will create and write fairy tales, a guest writer will speak that week, and many, many fun activities will be planned. At the end of the week, campers will choose a fairy tale that they would like to view.

Space Camp and Robotics: June 15-19 – The NASA Lego program is back! Campers will build robots and explore outer space. There will be lots of hands-on activities that involve science and math. The sky is the limit on this one!

Mad Scientist Camp:July 13-17 – Grab your lab coats and goggles! This camp will be a doozy! Where do I begin … Chemistry=explosions. Physics=designing and creating cool machines. Did I mention that there will be explosions? The last day of camp, campers and teachers will travel to the Baltimore Science Center for a day of genuine MAD SCIENCE FUN! (Extra costs apply for the field trip.)

Nutrition and Gardening: Farm to School: July 27-31 – Campers will learn the ins and outs of gardening. Attendees will plant, weed, harvest and cook! A master gardener and nutritionist will make an appearance at camp. Campers will create a menu based mainly on items from the garden and local farmers’ markets, and at the week’s end, everyone will help to prepare the meal.

Medieval Times: Aug. 3-7 – Watch out! I heard that Ms. Melanie plans to bring a dragon! (There will be history and writing components for this camp.) Castles will be built and knights and shield maidens shall gallivant throughout Morgan’s Grove. There will also be various art activities for the camp and a lot of water play. Anyone game for making a moat?

Parents and students are invited to tour Morgan Academy at 3988 Kearneysville Pike on Saturday May 2, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Meet the teachers and summer camp staff and learn more about the school’s innovative curriculum and camp programs.
