Local artist Rebecca Grace Jones will be featured in a solo exhibit at the Bridge Gallery from May 9 – June 7.

Her paintings have been described as seriously whimsical with a nod toward film director Tim Burton’s sense of mystery and stylized fantasy landscapes. Mostly mixed media on paper, the images at first present themselves as fields of texture. Then, upon closer examination, creatures appear and trees reveal their subtle character.

The exhibit will open with a reception on Saturday, May 9 from 5-7 p.m. The artist will also be available for a question and answer get-together with refreshments on Thursday, May 28, 7-8 p.m.
