This year’s Back Alley Tour and Tea (BATT) will again include the annual art exhibition put on by the Friday Painters. The local artists will hold a reception in the War Memorial Building from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening, May 15. The show will continue through the weekend along with other BATT activities and be open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Mike Austin, one of the 12 participating artists, commented, “This show is something that we look forward to each year to share the results of our work and to introduce new artists to the community. Shepherdstown is a dynamic community in many ways. This is particularly the case in that new families arrive each year and add to our mix in terms of media, professional skill and inspiration. We always benefit through sharing of insight about art and the pleasure or working together. You will see it reflected in our work.”
