The General Adam Stephen Chapter, National Society Sons of The American Revolution held their spring meeting on Friday April 24 at the Purple Iris in Martinsburg. Compatriot Al Davis introduced the speaker, George F Franks III.

Mr. Franks spoke on the “1863 Battle of Falling Waters” which was the concluding battle of the Gettysburg campaign. One note of interest is that this is not the Battle in Falling Waters, but refers to area around the Maryland side of the Potomac as the South retreated from Gettysburg.

The chapter inducted one new member, Paul V. Strider. At the conclusion of the meeting several members were presented Military Service Medals and Robert B. Lowe received the Meritorious Service Medal.
