Cayce’s A.R.E. 2015 Mid-Atlantic Region Retreat

By Staff | May 25, 2015

Edgar Cayce’s non-profit A.R.E. (Association for Research and Enlightenment) is sponsoring the 40th annual Mid-Atlantic Region Retreat at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, the weekend of Friday, June 5 at 4 p.m. to Sunday, June 7 at noon.

The retreat team is honored to have secured Sidney and Nancy Kirkpatrick as presenters for this year’s program, From Soul Groups to Self Worth: Finding Our Cosmic Destiny in the Cayce Readings. They have spent innumerable hours studying many of the over 14,000 readings stored in the vault in the A.R.E. library in Virginia.

They have discovered a wealth of fascinating insights into soul groups. One such group brought about the 12 step Alcoholics Anonymous program, another group was dedicated to saving ou planet from environmental disaster. Other readings deal with from health issues to how to treat our family, friends and enemies.

Sidney is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and best-selling author. His book, Edgar Cayce: An American Prophet is described in The New Yorker magazine as “a codex for the New Age”. It is also considered the definitive biography on Cayce. His wife, Nancy, will be speaking on “How to Lead Your Life, According to Cayce.”

Saturday activities from 7-9:30 p.m. will include Intuitive Readings, Energy Work and a session of the game Pit, A Parker Brothers card game invented by Cayce. The Aurascope, a machine invented by Cayce to view people’s auras, will be on display.
