Main Street Martinsburg’s Fridays @ Five Summer Concert Series on the town square will return this year, beginning June 5 with KoKo Blue playing classic rock of the 1960s.

The free concerts are from 5-7 p.m. on Fridays on the square in downtown Martinsburg running through Aug. 7, except July 3, and feature a range of music, from classic rock to bluegrass, folk to jazz, and much more.

The Fridays @ Five concert series is sponsored by Gibson & Associates and is presented by Pro Design, the City of Martinsburg and the Martinsburg Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Guests can bring their own chairs or blankets and sit on the ground. The front of the stage on the south lawn is reserved for dancing.

Each week, a local downtown restaurant will be showcased, offering local culinary specialties like small appetizers. A variety of beer and wine will be for sale. Non-alcoholic beverages also will be for sale. Guests may enjoy a picnic dinner from one of Martinsburg’s downtown restaurants.

Pets are allowed in the square during the concerts, provided they are on a leash at all times that is no longer than six feet. If they display aggressive behavior, the owner may be asked to remove them.
