A solo exhibit of new paintings by artist Evan Boggess will open at The Bridge Gallery on Saturday, June 13. Boggess, a Shepherdstown resident, is an MFA graduate of the Maryland Institute College of Art and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. He has been the recipient of many art honors and awards and is currently teaching drawing and painting in the Art Department at Shepherd University.

The paintings in the exhibit are the latest in this artists’ experiments in abstraction. Combining realism with abstracted elements Boggess attempts to push the properties of perception.
