Coalfield Development Corporation (CDC), an organization that trains young people with construction skills,will be working in the area June 15 to 20. The Executive Director of CDC is Brandon Dennison, a graduate of Shepherd University, who was also the youth director at Shepherdstown Presbyterian Church for several years while attending SU.

The group reclaims lumber from buildings that will be demolished, keeping that wood from ending up in the landfill. CDC workers then use the reclaimed wood to make flooring and furniture which CDC offers for sale to fund the program.
