Quilt is top prize in Good Shepherd drawing
Early this year Good Shepherd received a beautifully hand crafted quilt. This gift sparked the idea for what the organization has named “A Chance for Tomorrow.” The name was selected since volunteers who help other in reality are giving them an opportunity to live their lives from having assistance.
The quilt will be raffled to help raise funds for Good Shepherd. Ticket sales are going quickly since only 200 tickets were printed.
There are three prizes available with the drawing of the tickets. First prize is the 90″ x 90″ quilt, locally handcrafted by Pattie Wilmoth and Bettie Pharr. (Custom pillow shams possible.) Second prize us a Mimslyn Inn package for two overnight, wine with glasses and breakfast. In addition, the second place winner will receive a wine themed table runner by Rosemary Falck.
Third prize will be a “Coffee Crazy” basket with $25 gift certificate, coffees, candies and more from German Street Coffee & Candlery, plus a coffee themed table runner by Rosemary Falck.
Tickets can be purchased at Good Shepherd Caregivers for a $10 donation. During the month of June the quilt will be on display at the Jefferson Security Bank, 7994 Martinsburg Pike Tickets may also be purchase at that location.
The drawing is slated for Oct. 7, at the Taste from Around the World held at the Bavarian Inn.
