Muscular and Organic Energy Yoga Workshop offered
Pamela Scorza will offer a Muscular and Organic Energy yoga workshop on Friday, July 10 from 7-9 p.m. at the Harmony Healing Arts Center at 211 East New Street in Shepherdstown.
Scorza recently spent a year at an ashram in upstate New York and is delighted to be guest teaching in her hometown of Shepherdstown. She is a certified yoga instructor whose teaching is influenced by the alignment-based styles of Anusara and Iyengar. She has studied yoga since 1999 and has taught in New York and Boston.
She explains, “The true purpose of life is to celebrate the beauty and power of our true nature. In order to experience this, we need to draw inside and connect with the source. From that place, we naturally extend out into the world and carry out our roles with great skill and service. In this workshop we will explore these principles in the body through the use of muscular and organic energy. When we draw the muscles to the bones and draw from the periphery to the core, we draw our energy inward. From that integration with the core of the body, we have the support and potential to extend organically outward and more fully express the yoga postures. I will guide participants to experience this through a series of sun salutations, forward bends, standing poses and optional inversions.”
Workshop cost is $25. Please email Scorza at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to reserve space in the workshop. Cash/check payment due at workshop.
