Gardening group to meet Saturday
Members of the Gardeners Exchange Group of the Eastern Panhandle and surrounding counties share information, resources, expertise, labor, plants and experiences through monthly meetings, garden visits and special events.
The group meets at 9 a.m., usually on the third Saturday of the month, April through September. New members are always welcome!
The next meeting is at Duchess Apiary near Shepherdstown on Saturday, July 18, where Mike Austin, a member of the Eastern Panhandle Beekeepers Association, will discuss beekeeping form the point of view of farmers and gardeners. Austin will answer questions and show his beehives.
Bring lawn chairs and wear something to ward off the gnats. For more information and directions, check www.g-e-g.org or call Carole Brooks at 240-405-7013.
