On July 16, units from the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Comfort Suites located at the intersection of Short Road and Charles Town Road. Upon arrival, deputies located the employee who advised that a white male wearing a red hooded sweatshirt covering his head entered the hotel and jumped over the counter displaying a knife. The subject then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
