WV Kiwanis Convention in the Panhandle
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. From Aug. 7-9, members of Kiwanis International from many parts of the state gathered at Cacapon Resort State Park near Berkeley Springs for the 96th Annual West Virginia District Convention.
The weekend included education and sharing sessions; updates on local, state and international projects; and the election of officers for the 2015-16 administrative year. Guests included the governor of WV Key Club (high school branch of the Kiwanis family) Eva MacFarland of Bridgeport; acting governor of WV Circle K (college/university branch of the Kiwanis family) Liz Moore, a WVU student and Kiwanis International Trustee Arthur Riley of Westminster, Maryland, and his wife Vickie. Sherry Charles of Bridgeport is the outgoing Governor of WV Kiwanis and John Kyle of Huntington is the incoming Governor.
