Gardener’s Exchange plans meeting
The Gardener’s Exchange group’s next meeting will cover Grassland Restoration at Antietam National Battlefield Park Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. at Otto Farm,18125 Old Burnside Bridge, Sharpsburg Maryland. The farm is part of the National Battlefield Park. Members will discuss the park’s extensive work restoring native grasses; work which has resulted in great beauty as well as a welcoming habitat for native creatures, especially birds.
Bring a chair and arrive at 9 a.m. with food to share for breakfast. The club will provide coffee .The program begins at 9:30 a.m.
Bring water, sturdy shoes, and insect repellent. There are no electric facilities or a covered area, so in the event of steady rain, the program will be cancel ed. Cancellation will be posted at the website.

GEG members share information, resources, expertise, labor, plants, and experiences through monthly meetings, garden visits, and special events. The group meets at 9 a.m., usually on the third Saturday of the month, April through October. New members are welcome.
