Local children’s author to sign book
Local children’s book author, Pam Miller, will be discussing and signing copies of her new mid-grade novel Down Chestnut Street, for children ages 8 to 11 at Four Seasons Books in Shepherdstown on Saturday, Sept. 26 between 1 and 3 p.m. There will be stories and refreshments for children of all ages.
Miller, a retired teacher, presents the weekly story time for 3-5 year-olds at the Shepherdstown Public Library and at the Shepherdstown Day Care Center. She looks forward to seeing current and former story time friends and their families.
A portion of Down Chestnut Street won the 2009 West Virginia Writing Contest, children’s category. Miller is also a two-time winner in the Highlights Fiction Contest. Her stories have appeared in several children’s magazines. She has published three other books for children.
