The BooFest will begin the evening of Oct. 23, and conclude with trick-or-treating and other events Halloween night, Saturday, Oct. 31. It will include a wide variety of activities that everybody can enjoy, with a special emphasis on activities for children and families. Most activities will be free and everyone will be welcome.

Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23-24, in particular, will include many things to see and do, including a Friday evening “Halloween Hogs” motorcycle gathering; a costume parade and children’s arts, crafts and games during the day Saturday; and a Saturday evening Thriller dance and street party, as well as a “Vampire’s Ball.”

There will also be horror films and readings of classic horror stories several evenings during the week before Halloween.

On Halloween night, in addition to trick-or-treating, there will also be a “Haunted Hallway” for young children and a Halloween concert for adults featuring the Holy Ghost Tent Revival. The concert will include a costume competition.
