Friday, Oct. 23

5-9 p.m.Welcome Center, Registration for Tours. King and German streets

5-8 p.m.Halloween Hogs Poker Run. Music and food. Prizes for best motorcycle, poker hand and costume. King Street.

5-8 p.m.Mystery Tours.* Hear tales of curious mysteries and twisted histories as you travel the alleyways of Shepherdstown. Flashlights and walking shoes suggested. Leave from King & German Streets. ($10)

6:30-8:30 p.m. Creepy Cocktail Crawl.* Enjoy Halloween cocktails at participating restaurants: the Press Room, Bistro 112, domestic, the Town Run Brewing Company, and Devonshire.

7-9 p.m.Haunted Walk. Leaves from registration table at King and German streets. A family friendly event where you meet creepy characters and unusual zombies on a walk to Rumsey Park. Friends and flashlights suggested.

Saturday, Oct. 24

11 a.m.-5 p.m.Entler Hotel & Museum open. One of Shepherdstown’s major historic icons. Its origins go all the way back to 1786 – 129 E German St

12-7 p.m.Welcome Center, Registration for Tours. King and German streets

12-2:30 p.m.Children’s Arts, Crafts & Games. King Street

12-2 p.m.Haunted Hallway for Children. Shepherdstown Community Club

1-3 p.m.Street Music. Don Oehser. In front of Library

1-4 p.m.Little House Open Built in 1929 as a teacher training project, the farm includes a small limestone cottage and miniature dairy barn S Princess St

1-5 p.m.History Walks. Walking tour of the town leaves every hour. Leave from King Street

1:30-5:30 p.m.History Carriage Rides Learn the history of the area on a 20-minutie horse drawn carriage tour of the town. Leave from King Street. ($5 adult/$3 child/lap-kids ride free).

2-4 p.m.Face Painting. King Street

2-7 p.m.Beyond Comics Game Demos. Free game demos of zombie-themed board and card games. Comic book giveaways. King Street

3-4 p.m.Costume Parade and Competition. Prizes for adults, children and animals. King Street

4-7:30 p.m.Mystery Tours.* Hear tales of curious mysteries and twisted histories as you travel the alleyways of Shepherdstown. Flashlights and walking shoes suggested. Leave from King & German Streets. ($10)

4:30-6:30 p.m.”Thriller” Dance and Street Party. Learn the “Thriller” Zombie Dance in first hour. Everyone is welcome to join the Zombies and dance on the street right after. King Street

5-7 p.m.Gore Makeup for Young Adults. Learn how to create a ghoulish face for Halloween. Kits and full makeup for sale ($20); a little touch of gore will be free. King Street.

9 p.m.-1 a.m.Vampire Ball.* Music, tarot cards, wine and beer bar, costumes. Shepherdstown Community Club. ($6 single; $10 couple)

Monday, Oct. 26

5 and 7 p.m.Family Friendly Halloween Double Feature. (Casper and Monsters, Inc.) Shepherdstown Opera House

Tuesday, Oct. 27

10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.Halloween Parade and Story Time. A parade for all story time friends (infant through age 5); afterwards a special story time at the Shepherdstown Community Club. Meet outside Shepherdstown Library

Wednesday, Oct. 28

4-4:45 p.m.Anne’s After School Story Time. Spine-tingling stories and Halloween crafts for children ages 5-12. Shepherdstown Library

6 and 8 p.m.Scary Double Feature (The Blair Witch Project and Motel Hell} Shepherdstown Opera House

7 p.m. Shep-or-treat. Shepherd University.

10 p.m.-midnightRocky Horror Picture Show. The 1975 classic . Characters welcome. Bring your own supplies or buy at show. Shepherdstown Opera House.

Thursday, Oct. 29

6:30-8:30 p.m.Poe & Prix Fixe*. Performance Reading of Edgar Allan Poe with three-course prix fixe dinner at Bistro 112. ($40 per person)
