On Friday, Oct. 17, the Gen. Adam Stephen Chapter of the Sons of American Revolution held their fall dinner-meeting at the Purple Iris in Martinsburg. The speaker for the evening was Dr. David Javersak, retired history professor from West Liberty University.

Dr. Javersak’s talk was about the history and founders of the United States during the Revolutionary War. It was an extremely well presented talk.

The Chapter also inducted nine new members; William Chapman, David Hill, James Stovall and John Toffling all from Shepherdstown. Phil McDonald, Riley Moore and Bruce Thomas were from the Harpers Ferry area. Also, David Jenkins of Charles Town and Lee Kelly of Kearneysville were inducted.
