The Shepherdstown Volunteer Fire Department will have its annual Apple Butter Festival on Saturday, Oct. 31 at the fire department located on Route 45 just west of town. This activity is a major fundraising event for the department. There will be arts and crafts, baked goods and homemade apple butter for sale. No advance orders accepted for apple butter prior to Saturday. Note, as well, that there are no additional spaces for vendors at this year’s event.

Breakfast buffet will be seared from 6 to 11 a.m. Lunch will be served beginning at 11:30 a.m. Other delicious foods will be available for sale throughout the day.

Homemade apple butter orders will be accepted all day on Saturday. Come watch the apple butter being made and join in the fun by helping to stir one of the kettles.
