During the week of Nov. 9, Shepherd University students from Dr. Keith Alexander’s American Architectural Heritage class, in collaboration with the Shepherdstown Historic Landmark’s Commission, will be canvassing Shepherdstown, photographing primary and accessory structures. This is a joint project designed to update and complete a new Comprehensive Historic Survey to be submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office. Students have been directed to remain in the public right-of-way while surveying. Where possible, several photographs from different angles may be taken to capture additions and/or accessory buildings.
