Shenandoah Junction United Methodist Church will honor all Veterans this Sunday, Nov. 8, at Williams Memorial United Methodist church in Shenandoah Junction. Everyone attending will be given a small American flag.

All veterans are invited to the church to be honored by the congregation at the 11 a.m. service. The church is located at 289 Potomac Ave., Shenandoah Junction.

Patriotic music by the choir along with a special message, music and presentations by the youth will be on the schedule. Included will be a solo by a Marine Veteran of Vietnam. Little Miss Poppy, Cheyanne Thacker, will be the special guest. The event concludes with a covered dish dinner.

Pastor Parker Hinzman, a Purple Heart Veteran of Korea, will welcome all who join the celebration. Pastor Hinzman came to know Christ after struggling with guilt and trauma upon returning from the Korean conflict.
